The Ramsey County Law Library provides residents with free legal resources such as books, journals, electronic databases, information workshops, and legal assistance. Law library staff are trained in legal research and can help users find legal information in the library. The Minnesota State Law Library`s free online catalog contains books and journals from the Ramsey County Law Library, as well as titles from the Minnesota State Law Library and the Metropolitan Area County Law Libraries, as well as several counties in the greater Minnesota area. Learn more about your legal problem and go to court (for non-lawyers) SMRLS is co-sponsoring a new Ramsey County Housing Court clinic held every Tuesday and Thursday morning during the Housing Court`s first schedule of performances. Clients receive free legal advice from a pro bono lawyer before entering the courtroom. They can also request emergency assistance and work with a mediator from the Dispute Resolution Centre to reach an agreement in their case. Free 15-minute phone call with a volunteer lawyer if you have an ongoing case in Ramsey County Family Court or if you reside in Ramsey County and want to start a case in family court. Lawyers can answer family law questions or give brief legal advice about divorce, custody, parental leave, paternity, child support and spousal support.
