The Australian public got a taste of the new Mk6 at the Melbourne International Motor Show, which kicked off on February 27, 2009.  The new Golf was introduced nationwide at the same time. The Golf GTI “Wörthersee 09” is a concept car based on the Golf GTI. TSI of 2.0 liters. Its engine has a power of 155 kW; 208 hp (211 hp), with 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration of 6.9 seconds and top speed of 238 km/h (148 mph).
It features a Firespark metallic red body color with GTI stripes, 19-inch glossy black alloy spoked wheels, smoked LED taillights, a lowered chassis and a new sports exhaust. It was planned that the production version would be based on the new Golf Mk6 with a 1.5-liter turbodiesel engine and an electric motor with an expected arrival date of 2015. I could perhaps ask for an early opening without incidents being recorded and the years being temporarily exceeded, but if it is only an exception for the car itself, it should certainly be easier. Volkswagen CEO Martin Winterkorn announced the Golf Twin Drive plug-in hybrid concept based on the Golf Mk5, which uses the 2.0 L 91 kW (122 hp) I4 turbodiesel and a 61 kW (82 hp) electric motor with lithium-ion batteries. The car can travel about 50 kilometers powered by battery.  Combined power is 128 kW (174 hp).  There has been much speculation about this vehicle, with uncertainty as to its name. Golf R20 was the most common name before the IAA Frankfurt.  After Volkswagen`s final presentation at the IAA in Frankfurt on the 15th.
In September 2009, it was confirmed that the R32 replacement would simply be called Golf R.  In Mexico, the only two versions available until August 2011 were the GTI 3-door imported to Germany in 6-speed manual transmissions and 6-speed DSG transmissions and the Mexican Golf sports car with a 170 hp 2.5-liter inline-5 with a 6-speed tiptronic transmission. In September 2012, a 5-door version in Comfortline equipment with 1.4-liter TSI engine of 177 hp and 6-speed manual transmission imported from Germany was added. The end of production being imminent, it is limited to 4,000 pieces.
